WHY SING IN A CHAMBER CHOIR?
If you would like to join the New York Youth Chamber Choir, we would love to hear from you. We rehearse every Tuesday during the school year from 5-7:00pm at 87th / Columbus Avenue. To apply, you need to read the info and signup for a friendly audition. We look forward to meeting you:
1.
Join a new community of people aged 14-20 that love music and to sing.
2.
Learn to read music, improve technique, take voice lessons, learn music theory.
3.
Relax, laugh, sing, and eat way too much at youth choir retreats and social events.
4.
Perform as a youth chamber choir with adults, composers and soloists.
5.
Commit to something that colleges will look favorably on, working at a high level.
6.
Opportunities to perform in concerts at Carnegie Hall and great venues in the city.
7.
Making art, live, with wonderful people in many styles, and FANTASTIC snacks.
